No you dont. you can bypass it and just sacrifice the drivers auto-down.

If you change the BCM you will need to change the keyheads as well otherwise you wont be ale to unlock the car or start it Wink

Im as suming that she means a BCM (body control module) that supports power windows, i think its level 2 or 3 that has it. If thats what shes talking about you can bypass the level 1 BCM just means the auto down wont work (u will have to hold the switch till the window goes down) this is how my SS is.

Did you check to see that she has 2 terminals in fuse #5 under the dash?
