i found a VY HSV 285kw ls1 for $600 with a spun big end. hmmm is it worth re-grinding the crank and new bearings?? Title: Re: VT engine LS1-loom-computer Post by: {H1GHROLLR}-{CHASN10S} on December 17, 2010, 11:29:23 AM nope ! if u doing crank and bearings peace of mind would do piston and rings yeah ? the ls1 block is pretty exspensive to get bored out too due to the time/labour/parts it takes bolting the plates up needed to bore an aluminum block, most definatly blow well over the budget of buy a low k's ls1
